Body and Appearance
1. Describe the character's height and build. Is he heavyset, thin, short, rangy?
Remarkably tall and long-limbed, at least when it comes to the limbs he still has, and all lean stringy muscle. He's stronger than his skinny frame would suggest.
2. How old is he?
25.
3. Describe his posture. Does he carry himself well or does he slouch?
He's always hunched over, even on the rare occasions when he's not carrying a heavy load on his back, so that it's difficult to tell just how tall he really is.
4. How is his health? Is he fit or out of shape? Any illnesses or conditions? Any physical disabilities?
He's kind of a wreck, but in a way that's more evident in the long term than the short term. Constant radiation exposure has done a number on him, and it's a certainty that he'll develop some form of cancer at some point, but he's young and doesn't think about that much. For now, he's well enough to be active, and though he is a double amputee, he doesn't consider his missing limbs a disability.
5. How does he move? Is he clumsy, graceful, tense, fluid?
He has a scuttling crablike sort of walk, a little unbalanced by his peg leg, though he's fast on it when he wants to be and it doesn't really hamper him from any kind of movement.
6. How attractive is this character physically? How does he perceive himself in the mirror?
7. Describe his complexion. Dark, light, clear, scarred?
Quite pale, but he's always covered in so much ash and grease and dirt that it's impossible to tell.
8. Describe his hair: color, texture, style.
What's left of it is straight and white-blond, and if it weren't sparse from being constantly set on fire, it would be pretty thick.
9. What color are his eyes?
Sort of an amber-like golden brown.
10. Does the character have any other noteworthy features?
Unusually sharp canine teeth, always noticeable in his broad manic smile.
12. What is the character's wardrobe like? Casual, dressy, utilitarian? Bright colors, pastels, neutrals? Is it varied, or does he have six of the same suit?
What wardrobe? Junkrat doesn't actually own any clothing besides the two pairs of filthy, patched cargo shorts he alternates between.
13. Do his clothes fit well? Does he seem comfortable in them?
The shorts aren't really ill-fitting, though they tend to drag low on his hips because of all the various tools and bombs he has crammed into the pockets. He's perfectly comfortable in them, but would be much less so in any other outfit.
14. Does he dress the same on the job as he does in his free time? If not, what are the differences?
Junkrat dresses exactly the same no matter where he is and what the circumstances. It's a matter of pride, at this point.
15. You knew it was coming: Boxers, briefs or commando?
Commando, baby. Underwear is for suits. (He does occasionally regret this whenever something hits him in the groin, which happens with relative frequency.)
Speech
1. What does this character's voice sound like? High-pitched, deep, hoarse?
When he's being serious, which is rare, it's fairly low and gravelly. Usually, though, it's a shrill near-falsetto.
2. How does he normally speak? Loud, soft, fast, evenly? Does he talk easily, or does he hesitate?
He's always jabbering a mile a minute, his mouth running loudly ahead of his brain and saying whatever happens to pop into his head. He's not one for hesitation.
3. Does the character have a distinct accent or dialect? Any individual quirks of pronunciation? Any, like, you know, verbal tics?
Junkrat has the most Australian accent ever to put Steve Irwin to shame, and everything he says is liberally punctuated by hyena-like giggling.
4. What language/s does he speak, and with how much fluency?
Just English fluently, though he's picked up plenty of foreign expressions (mostly insulting, profane and/or crime-related) in his travels around the world.
5. Does he switch languages or dialects in certain situations?
He'll sometimes affect a Cockney accent if he's making fun of Tracer, or do a serviceable David Attenborough impression for fun, but otherwise, not really.
6. Is he a good impromptu speaker, or does he have to think about his words?
He's not exactly a great orator, with or without practice, but he's better with words than most people would give him credit for, even though he rarely thinks before he speaks.
7. Is he eloquent or inarticulate? Under what circumstances might this change?
He's not inarticulate, and it would be a mistake to judge him that way because of his dialect, but when he's really angry, he tends to devolve into sputtering and having difficulty finding words.
Mental and Emotional
1. How intelligent is this character? Is he book-smart or street-smart?
2. Does he think on his feet, or does he need time to deliberate?
Even if he needed time to deliberate, he wouldn't take it. Every decision Junkrat makes is totally on the fly. It...sometimes even works out.
3. Describe the character's thought process. Is he more logical, or more intuitive? Idealistic or practical?
Logic isn't his strong suit, but he can put two and two together when given enough evidence, especially with Roadhog to help him out. He wouldn't call himself an idealist. He thinks of idealists as the kind of naive idiots who fuck things up for everyone lower on the totem pole than they are. Idealism, as far as Junkrat is concerned, is a privilege.
4. What kind of education has the character had?
There's not much of a formal school system in Junkertown, but he's got about the equivalent of a ninth-grade general education, and he's self-taught on a number of subjects like engineering and mathematics. He's good at those, and he'll read voraciously if it's about a topic he actually likes--there just aren't many of those outside of "explosives" and "flammable things."
5. What are his areas of expertise? What, if anything, is he interested in learning more about?
Anything that can possibly be made to explode or burst into flames is Junkrat's bread and butter. That, and barbecue.
6. Is he an introvert or an extrovert?
He doesn't like being alone, and much prefers to have people around to talk to, but he hasn't always had a lot of company on hand. He's an extrovert who doesn't always get the chance to be an extrovert.
7. Describe the character's temperament. Is he even-tempered or does he have mood swings? Cheerful or melancholy? Laid-back or driven?
He's cheerful against all odds, rarely succumbing to any kind of melancholy for too long. Even when he's angry, he somehow manages to be cheerfully angry. He's no stranger to righteous indignation, even runs on it at times, but there's not much that he takes seriously enough to get genuinely upset over it.
8. How does he respond to new people or situations? Is he suspicious, relaxed, timid, enthusiastic?
Though he thinks of himself as a cynic, and prides himself on knowing how the world really works, Junkrat's instinct is to be trusting. He'll deny it, but he wants to give people the benefit of the doubt, even if he'll preach about how nobody can be trusted. He'll just justify it by claiming that this latest person he's opening up to is an exception--and when he gets burned, he'll swear he's learned his lesson about trusting people, and then forget it again within a few weeks.
9. Is he more likely to act, or to react?
Act first, ask questions later--or not at all.
10. Which is his default: fight or flight?
It depends whether he already has the momentum and adrenaline of a fight going. If he does, then he'll keep fighting against all odds, to the point where he'll have to be physically dragged away from a losing battle before it kills him, and he'll be kicking and screaming and demanding to be let back into the fray. If the fight hasn't started yet, though, he'll sometimes be clear-headed enough to try to reason his way out of it before it gets dangerous.
11. Describe the character's sense of humor. Does he appreciate jokes? Puns? Gallows humor? Bathroom humor? Pranks?
All of the above, really. He loves to come up with ridiculous puns in the heat of battle and shriek them to his allies as if they're in a position to appreciate jokes, and he's always up for a prank--the more dangerous, the better. Almost anything is fair game, including his own missing limbs ("I've got a leg up on the competition! But only one.")
The one person he won't stand to hear mocked by anyone else is Roadhog, and he'll defend his bodyguard to the death, whether Roadhog appreciates it or not (and he seems not to, as it only makes his job all the harder.)
12. Does the character have any diagnosable mental disorders? If yes, how does he deal with them?
Not...diagnosable, exactly, but that certainly doesn't make him mentally healthy. He deals with his issues, when he bothers to deal with them, by keeping company with slightly steadier people who can rein him in when he gets too manic.
13. What moments in this character's life have defined him as a person?
14. What does he fear?
Abandonment, robot attacks, losing his sense of self.
15. What are his hopes or aspirations?
He doesn't have many. He's very much a "live in the moment" guy, but he's determined to sell the treasure he's found, split the proceeds with Roadhog and be rich. That's the extent of his planning for the future. What he'll even do with the money once he has it is anyone's guess.
16. What is something he doesn't want anyone to find out about him?
He desperately wishes he'd had a father when he was growing up, and the abandonment still hurts. Maybe it's why he's so fiercely protective of Roadhog, and so afraid the big guy is going to leave him at some point.
Relationships
1. Describe this character's relationship with his parents.
Junkrat never knew his father, or liked any of his mother's boyfriends, but there used to be a time when he felt bad for disappointing his mum with all his run-ins with the law. He made a half-assed attempt to behave himself while she was alive, wanting her to be proud of him, but when she died, all bets were off.
2. Does the character have any siblings? What is/was their relationship like?
He's an only child (which was much to his mother's relief.)
3. Are there other blood relatives to whom he is close? Are there ones he can't stand?
4. Are there other, unrelated people whom he considers part of his family? What are his relationships with them?
5. Who is/was the character's best friend? How did they meet?
6. Does he have other close friends?
7. Does he make friends easily, or does he have trouble getting along with people?
8. Which does he consider more important: family or friends?
9. Is the character single, married, divorced, widowed? Has he been married more than once?
Single, never married, probably never will be. He had a girlfriend once, but he hasn't seen her in years and doesn't have a clue where she is now.
10. Is he currently in a romantic relationship with someone other than a spouse?
Not at the moment.
11. Who was his first crush? Who is his latest?
12. What does he look for in a romantic partner?
A partner in crime, quite literally. Common interests are important, and he wants someone who won't try to change him (whether that be making him give up his bombs, or asking him to shower more often, or suggesting he might occasionally benefit from wearing a shirt.)
13. Does the character have children? Grandchildren? If yes, how does he relate to them? If no, does he want any?
Junkrat's been exposed to constant high levels of radiation since infancy. Children are not in his future. He couldn't be more sterile unless you stuck him in an autoclave.
14. Does he have any rivals or enemies?
Everyone but Roadhog is an enemy, and even that's iffy sometimes.
15. What is the character's sexual orientation? Where does he fall on the Kinsey scale?
Pretty much in the middle. He has a type for both men and women, but doesn't usually go out of his way to pursue either.
16. How does he feel about sex? How important is it to him?
17. What are his turn-ons? Turn-offs? Weird bedroom habits?
Beliefs
1. Do you know your character's astrological (zodiac of choice) sign? How well does he fit type?
2. Is this character religious, spiritual, both, or neither? How important are these elements in his life?
He's vaguely, non-denominationally Christian-ish. He believes in God, but doesn't really let it direct his life in any way.
3. Does this character have a personal code of morals or ethics? If so, how did that begin? What would it take to compromise it?
1. Make a token effort to keep children out of the collateral-damage zone.
2. Don't let people call Roadhog fat, even though he is.
3. That's about it.
4. How does he regard beliefs that differ from his? Is he tolerant, intolerant, curious, indifferent?
It's not usually beliefs that he cares about so much, though he feels threatened by the promotion of Omnic rights, and he's highly uncomfortable with the religion Omnics practice. The fact that they have a religion makes them too much like people, and if they're people, he can't get as excited about blowing them up. He doesn't want to think about it, so he doesn't.
5. What prejudices does he hold? Are they irrational or does he have a good reason for them?
His fear and hatred of Omnics is irrational in the sense that he refuses to hear or accept any evidence against it. He's absolutely convinced that the bots are just biding their time, luring humanity into a sense of complacency before they attack again--and when they do, the world governments will be on their side, throwing the common folk under the bus again just to save their own hides. That's what governments do, in the Junkers' experience, and the young ones like Junkrat who weren't alive for the first Omnic crisis are no less vehement in that belief than the older ones who raised them on a steady diet of fearful isolationist rhetoric.
It's much easier to blame the robots and The Man for the nuclear wasteland he had to grow up in than to blame the people like Roadhog who actually made it that way, so that's what Junkrat does. Omnics are the Other, the Other can't be trusted, and laws benefit nobody but the rich and should be disregarded as a form of political activism. The idea of any of these seemingly unshakable truths not being true after all is terrifying to Junkrat, and so he sticks his fingers in his ears and defiantly avoids anything that might challenge his worldview.
Daily Life
1. What is the character's financial situation? Is he rich, poor, comfortable, in debt?
Rich, in a nebulous, unstable sort of way. He hasn't actually cashed in on that treasure he found, and isn't able to do so yet, so he can only pay for things--namely, Roadhog's services--with the promise of it. If he actually can get his hands on the profits, he'll be set for life, but it's still up in the air, and sometimes he can't help but be really scared of what will happen if it all falls through and he can't pay Roadhog what he owes.
2. What is his social status? Has this changed over time, and if so, how has the change affected him?
3. Where does he live? House, apartment, trailer? Is his home his castle or just a place to crash? What condition is it in? Does he share it with others?
4. Besides the basic necessities, what does he spend his money on?
5. What does he do for a living? Is he good at it? Does he enjoy it, or would he rather be doing something else?

6. What are his interests or hobbies? How does he spend his free time?
7. What are his eating habits? Does he skip meals, eat out, drink alcohol, avoid certain foods?
